a late summer daze

my favorite, most fleeting time of the year is that elusive space between summer and fall.  it's cool enough to break out your favorite light sweater and heavier fabrics, but still warm enough you don't have to layer a million pieces just to stay warm.  it's breathable, light, fresh, and uncomplicated.  it reminds me of going back to college, where everything is new and promising and you feel so full of hope and ideas.

for this shoot, I teamed up with Sara Crooks and Rachel Lane (who did a lovely job on this makeup).  I was inspired by pieces I would have worn in high school or college, with the grunge backless dress and green sweatshirt.

fall is fast approaching and I bet before long we'll be saying goodbye to this glorious weather and trading in our miniskirts for something a little warmer...
